Hello from the Hartshorne Area Chamber of Commerce!
Welcome to our town. We are a small, multi-cultured town with a lot of "heart" (if you will excuse the pun) and history. Hartshorne is in the middle of the "Choctaw Nation" of Oklahoma. We were established as a community as far back as the infamous "Trail of Tears". This area included many Indian and Black settlements long before the white man came to this area. Our area is known for an abundance of natural resources: limestone, coal, gas & oil, timber and a true hunter's paradise. We are within easy access of the Kiamichi & Jack Fork Mountains, Robber's Cave, Talimena Drive and other outlying points of interest. We are the only town in Oklahoma to boast of our Sts. Cyril & Methodist Orthodox Church with it's beautiful dome.
Y'all come for a visit soon!
